In a somewhat unexpected move, the two weeks that we took off were not as quiet as we assumed they would be. It turns out that Warner Bros. decided to release a brand new trailer for The Batman days after Christmas along with a number of other marketing elements. So in our first episode back from the holiday break, we begin by analyzing the Bat and Cat trailer.
There is a lot to unpack from the new trailer. From Riddler having a presence, yet barely appearing, to the mysteries that need to be theorized. Is there a reason we haven’t seen Riddler’s face in any of the marketing? Could it be as simple as building the creepiness of the character or is there a plot reason for it?
What happens if Thomas Wayne is involved in some bad things? Does this take away from the character of Batman? Is this what Alfred is lying to Bruce about?
The questions are plenty, but is that a good thing or a bad thing? Will the mystery keep certain moviegoers away because they feel alienated? Or will this be the film to top in 2022?
Outside of analyzing the Bat and Cat trailer, the merch for the film is in full swing. Be sure to stay up to date with everything coming by watching our merchandise section for all the latest updates.
Rounding out the episode is a discussion about some recent rumors that deal with The Flash and Batgirl and how Michael Keaton fits into both films. You do not want to miss this examination as the future of DC Films hangs in the balance between these two films.
