Η συζήτηση μιας μητέρας με την εννιάχρονη κόρη της, καθώς η μικρή σκέφτεται ότι η μαμά της έχει ζήσει το πρώτο μισό της ζωής της στον προηγούμενο αιώνα και διανύει το δεύτερο μισό σε αυτόν τον αιώνα, θέλοντας να μάθει ομοιότητες και διαφορές για τα θέματα που την απασχολούν σχετικά με τη ζωή τότε και τη ζωή σήμερα.
