Ephesians 6:16 KJVS

Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

As a Christian, you are called to be a warrior. You are called to fight and oppose the enemy in all forms of ways. God is anointing you to be more than a match for the devil' s works. That is why He is putting His Spirit in you.

1 John 3:8 KJVS

...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

One major part of your armoury is the shield of faith. With a shield , a fighter is able to prevent the arrows of the enemy from reaching and hurting his body. The darts of wicked are fiery. This means the darts or arrows of the wicked burn with fire. The darts of the wicked are laden with inflammable substances. When the enemy throws arrows at you, he aims at making you burn with the wrong fire. He wants you to be charged with all the wrong reasons for doing life, serving God or doing the work of the ministry. Refuse to burn with the wrong fire.

Refuse to be ignited with the wrong passions.

The main fire of the enemy is fear. Refuse to be inflammed for all the reasons that make you afraid on the inside. The purpose of the anointing is to put you ahead of anything that could possibly make you panic with so much fear that you fail to fight, in which venture your victory is most definitely assured in Christ. Go for the anointing!

Isaiah 21:4-6 KJVS

My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me. [5] Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield. [6] For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.

A skillful fighter is supposed to preempt the direction of enemy archers' darts. How can you tell what the enemy is going to do next? You can never tell, except you flow with the anointing. It is the anointing of God that fights the anointing of the enemy. So learn to fight on that plane. Your shield of faith needs to be an anointed shield.

It is the anointing of God that will make your shield of faith an ably wielded defense. It the anointing of God that will shield powerful. It is the anointing of God that will make your shield rightly positioned to extinguish oncoming arrows from the most unassuming directions.

Ask God to shield you by His anointing. Ask God to make your faith ready against the arrows of fear. Ask God for His anointing, and oil for your shield, in Jesus mighty name.

Genesis 1:14-19 KJVS

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: [15] And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. [16] And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. [17] And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, [18] And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. [19] And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

Respect time. Respect for time is very important. God respects times and seasons and He always works with them. In fact, He made and appointed the sun, moon and stars to GOVERN( Hebrew: Memshalaw: have power, rule, dominion , realm) times and seasons, days and years.

God works with time. There must be something inside you that respects times. Anything that makes you disrespect and dishonour timing's can cost you and rob of your shine in the dark hour or the D- day or judgement day. God wants our times to be governed today so that we will have our inner biological and spiritual clock working well in preparation for examination days or judgement days, when all the privileges and chances for preparation towards readiness will be taken off. There is a day when chances for preparation will be taken off. That day should not catch us unaware if we are able to use the time we have well enough.

Fear the last minute. Things can happen in the last minute before judgement that can really incapacitate you so that you are not able to actively prepare for the judgement day or D- day. There is a day when the powers of the heavens will be shaken so that they do not give you the luxury of the daytime that you have always had. There is a day when all the plenty time you have always had and perhaps wasted doing things that don't matter will be taken away. What will you do in the day that you suddenly realise that you don't have as much time as you always thought you had? Fear the last minute. Things can come up and that will make you unable to do all the things you were procrastinating onto the last minutes. Jesus said that just before He comes, the Sun will be darkened and the moon will not shine, and the stars themselves will fall so there will be a very terrible gloom. Perhaps electricity will also fail so that no one has the light or time to do any last minutes activities. Avoid procrastination. Don't save things for the last minute. Prepare today.

Matthew 24:29-30 KJVS

Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: [30] And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Be ready at all times. The only reason why we end up actively preparing for deadlines is because that is when we become more aware that we have no time left. The secret of preparing at all times is to have a great sense of awareness and fear of the sudden day or judgement day or examination day that can come at any day or any time. The call is for us to be ready at all times.

Matthew 24:44 KJVS

Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

Don't say someone is delaying. Many times when we want to be late for something, we put the blame of on other people also responsible for the appointment who are are likely to delay. *A PLACE FOR GIRLS*

And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: [2] And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

Revelation 12:5-6 KJVS

And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne. [6] And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

Revelation 12:14 KJVS

And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

A PLACE FOR NOURISHMENT: It appears, from the scriptures above, that there is a great need for girls to have a place where they are properly and specially nourished and fed by their Maker.

Imagine carrying a baby in the womb and giving birth, and giving the baby over to someone else as the first thing, to be named and nourished and given their identity by this other person. Could this kind of action affect the destiny of the baby or not? It certainly can. It matters who nourishes you. It matters who tells you who you are. It matters because it can make all the difference in determining what you turn out to be in life.

When God made Adam, He was the first person to nourish him with His words, letting him know what His duty in life was and what resources were available to him. The voice that Adam, God's first "baby" in Eden, heard when he was first made, was the voice of God. The voice that Eve, God's second baby in Eden, first heard when she was made was not that of Her Maker, but rather, that of Adam, straightway showing her who she was made to be according to his view. How does it help when one's identity and role is defined entirely by someone who does not have all the details about what it took for you to be created? ( Mind you, Adam knew some detail, that Eve was made out of his bones and flesh. But that was not all. There was possibly so much more, and only the Creator can really tell!).

God is our real true Source and each person must be given an equal chance to be nourished and identified by their Maker. God wants to have a chance to nourish each person according to His real plan and truth for their lives. If only God could have had some extra space and place to take Eve to and nourish her and reveal to her her identity and job on earth before bringing her to the man, it would have made such a difference in her knowledge about her abilities and calling. But as it stood, she first heard about herself from the one who was not her Maker, yet was a prerequisite for her making.

BACKSLIDING II

And they returned from searching of the land after forty days. [26] And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land. [27] And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it. [28] Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there. [29] The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan. [30] And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. [31] But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we. [32] And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. [33] And there we saw the giants, n the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, o and so we were in their sight.

For forty days, Moses sent out twelve spied into the land of Canaan. They all saw the same physical things in the land. Two saw the awesome blessings and challenges as great opportunities. The other ten saw the magnitude of the blessings, but guarded by a huge force of a great stature of enemies. They seemed to have and give a lot of reasons why they needed to turn back from their future of glory, a land flowing with milk and honey, while Caleb and Joshua simply saw differently. The difference was mainly due to the spirit each person carried and whether each person was ready to follow the Lord fully. Backsliding is the weapon of the devil wielded to keep you from your destiny of glory. Backsliding tells you not to move forward God's way. Backsliding always gives you reasons why you cannot follow God fully.

1. Backsliding comes from an evil spirit that makes you give an evil report of your God-given destiny. Vs 3 2 " And they brought an evil report of the land which they had searched..."

2. Backsliding comes from an evil spirit that makes you more concerned about the discipline or war or suffering or battles you will have to fight or endure before you possess your promised land, rather than being motivated by the blessings in store for you and the glory that will be due God when you overcome.

Vs 32, 33 "...is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature. [33] And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."

3. Backsliding is a certain spirit. Joshua and Caleb did not have the Spirit of backsliding; they had another spirit, a clean spirit- the Spirit of God!

Numbers 14:24 KJVS

But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.

4. You overcome backsliding by making a strong decision right from the start to follow Jesus FULLY all the days of your life, no matter comes your way. That is the kind of spirit that overcomes the spirit of the world.
