We're back with our "Dividing Scriptures" series! This time we are looking at the character of Elihu in the book of Job and discussing redactor criticism of the Bible. How much can we disagree about how the Bible came together and still have Christian unity? Who is Job's fourth friend? What does Elihu do in the Bible? Was Elihu right? Was the Bible edited? Is Job a collection of arguments throughout time or one coherent argument? We discuss all this and more! Let us know what you think about Elihu on our Facebook group, the Whole Church Group!

Hey kids, remember that one time we talked about Hypostatic Union and Kenosis Theory? Well in today's bonus episode we are revisiting both of them from the first time we covered them in Systematic Theology 1.  What do these words mean?  How do they impact our faith?  Do we need to know these things in order to have confidence in our atonement?  All this and more will be addressed in today's episode.

Once more, YOU VOTED on our Facebook Group, The Priests to the Geeks, and we have delivered! Hosts Joshua Noel and Josh Rosengrant work together to answer your question: What if Disney animated Victor Hugo's "Les Misérables" instead of "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame"? Victor Hugo is one of Joshua Noel's favorite authors and Walt Disney had to pick of these stories to animate for children, but why did they choose "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame" in the first place? What is the story of Les Misérables about? What is the main point of Les Misérables? What themes are in the Novel, "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame"? Is "Hellfire" the best Disney villain song? What songs would Disney have made in their rendition of Les Misérables? Would Russell Crowe or Hugh Jackman have played Frodo in the live action adaptation of "The Hunchback of Notre-Dame"? We discuss all this and more! Let us know what you think Disney's Les Misérables would have been like on our website: systematicgeekology.org

The pastoral leadership interviews continue!  in this episode, Parish Pastor Will Rose returns to the show to give us his take on servant leadership, vision casting, mentoring, and being a change agent.  Will talks about how being a leader in a church is a lot like being a point guard on the basketball court, how to properly handle change in an environment that may not welcome it, and what matters the most in a mentoring relationship.  Will also gives us the lowdown on the pizza situation in Chapel Hill, NC.   Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Chapel Hill YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_2dMgP527sVL-uyd6UjqhA Systematic Geekology: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/systematic-geekology/id1587589370 MSL Website: https://myseminarylife983333216.wordpress.com/?preview_id=3&preview_nonce=2d22b29479 Shop: https://my-seminary-life-store.creator-spring.com/ Facebook and Instagram: @myseminarylifepod Contact: [email protected]
