Damnation has the unique status of bing a film rated 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, and being called by IGN the best Resident Evil film to date circa 2012. So for once I actually get to ask the question, is Resident Evil: Damnation really that GOOD?

Right off the bat, they highlight how the film explores the importance of relationships and community, illustrating that our identities are shaped by our connections with others. As they unpack the film, they delve into Spider-Man's journey of navigating isolation and the healing power of companionship, paralleling it with elements of Process Theology. Evan shares his personal reflections on how this perspective resonates with his own experiences, while Andy adds his insights on the film’s narrative and character arcs. With a blend of thoughtful analysis and light-hearted banter, they invite listeners to consider how the essence of being is intricately linked to the web of relationships that define us all.
Andy Walsh and Evan Garcia dive into the vibrant world of Marvel's latest offering, "Spider-Man: Brand New Day," where they explore the intricacies of Process Theology and its thematic resonance with the film's narrative. The conversation kicks off with Andy expressing his excitement over the film, commenting on its unique portrayal of Spider-Man as a more mature character navigating the complexities of adulthood and heroism. Evan, on the other hand, shares a conflicting sentiment, admitting that while he finds much to appreciate in the film, he also grapples with a sense of boredom during his multiple viewings. Their banter captures the tension between personal enjoyment and critical analysis, making for a compelling discussion.
As the two delve deeper, they examine how Spider-Man's journey reflects the core tenets of Process Theology, particularly the idea that growth and change are fundamental to existence. They connect this thematic element to the film's portrayal of relationships and community, suggesting that the film emphasizes the importance of interpersonal connections in shaping one's identity and purpose. The duo also touches on the various cameos, the integration of X-Men lore, and the implications of Peter Parker’s technological advancements, leading to a rich dialogue about the moral complexities inherent in superhero narratives. Their insights reveal that beneath the surface of comic book action lies a profound exploration of what it means to be human in a world of constant change and relational dynamics.
In the lighthearted yet thought-provoking style characteristic of Systematic Geekology, Andy and Evan wrap up their discussion by engaging with listener questions, inviting feedback, and hinting at future episodes. Our show focuses around our favorite fandoms that we discuss from a Christian perspective. We do not try to put Jesus into all our favorite stories, but rather we try to ask the questions the IPs are asking, then addressing those questions from our perspective. We are not all ordained, but we are the Priests to the Geeks, in the sense that we try to serve as mediators between the cultures around our favorite fandoms and our faith communities.

Welcome to my dojo, this is Kung Fu Piizza Party. Today, I am sitting down to re-review this year's Blessed Takayama Memorial Cup Winner, Big George Foreman starring Khris Davis. This time around, I look at the Critics Score on Rotten Tomatoes and discuss how it is important to have these kinds of movies, sports biopics that bring you hope. If a person like George Foreman can make a comeback in his late age, surely I can get through another day of being a stay-at-home parent.

Diving into the Kingdom Hearts universe, Joshua and Christian kick off their exploration of the franchise by discussing the often-overlooked mobile games that chronologically set the stage for the entire saga. They reflect on their own experiences with these titles, which many fans only know from cutscene compilations rather than actual gameplay. The conversation flows naturally as they express their excitement for the upcoming 25th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, teasing about the potential twists that might arise in the next installment, especially with fan-favorite characters like Donald and Goofy possibly venturing into Hades. They cleverly weave in anecdotes about their latest geeky obsessions, like Christian's foray into classic sci-fi short stories and Joshua's comic book adventures with Godzilla. Amidst the banter, they delve into the plot mechanics of mobile games like 'Coded' and 'Union X', pointing out how they expand the lore and introduce pivotal characters that impact the overarching narrative. With a mix of nostalgia and humor, they critique the awkward transitions in gameplay, such as the rhythm game mechanics in 'Kingdom Hearts 2', and ponder the philosophical implications behind the Master of Masters and the unfolding Keyblade War. The episode is not just a recap; it’s a heartfelt celebration of a beloved franchise, with laughs and insights that resonate with fans old and new.
