The Church above wants to act like God is just biding time to come and kill anyone who has ever sinned. Often, God is made out to be an angry man in the skies waiting to act out revenge, rather than a God who embraces justice and equity for all.

.

This is the underground church and we believe in a God who prioritizes and desires justice over revenge, equity over injustice, love over fear, and freedom for the marginalized and subjected! We believe that God will judge the righteous and the wicked fairly, that one day addicts will find restoration, the marginalized will find freedom, and all will have peace and justice!

What does it mean God will judge with equity? What is the equity of God? What is the biblical meaning of equity? What does biblical justice mean? What does God consider justice? What is the biblical understanding of addiction? How does God deal with addicts? What are the psalms for judgement? How does C.S. Lewis explain judgement in the psalms?

.

In this episode, we will:

• Examine what David means by "judgement" in the psalms
• Exegete Psalm 7
• Discuss how God will bring equity to sinners, the faithful, addicts, and more
• Deconstruct how the Church views final judgement and the heart of God

Here for a special episode, Christian Ashley brings on guest, Herbie Ramsey, to discuss the film, "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind"! While it isn't technically a Studio Ghibli film, it is often listed among them and one of the best!

.

Is Nausicaä the first Ghibli movie? Was Nausicaä inspired by Dune? What is Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind about? Is Nausicaä a love story? What is the message of Nausicaä? Why does Nausicaä dress turn blue? Why is Nausicaä not wearing pants? Why do people like Nausicaä? Who does Nausicaä end up with? Why is Nausicaä not Ghibli? What is the monster in Nausicaä? Is Nausicaä about nuclear war? We discuss all this and more in this one! Join in the conversation with us on Discord now!

Our show focuses around our favorite fandoms that we discuss from a Christian perspective. We do not try to put Jesus into all our favorite stories, but rather we try to ask the questions the IPs are asking, then addressing those questions from our perspective. We are not all ordained, but we are the Priests to the Geeks, in the sense that we try to serve as mediators between the cultures around our favorite fandoms and our faith communities.

We are on Day 4 of our Summer School series and we are going to focus more on current cults that we need to be aware of as they are currently operating. Today's focus is on 7M and Shekinah Church lead by Robert Shinn. In this episode, my wife Claire joins the show to review Netflix's most recent documentary "Dancing for the Devil" and talk about the history and essential teachings of Shekinah Church. We also get practical to address next steps that we all can take to stay educated with what is going on with this group and how to be a part of the solution to bring justice for the glory of God.
