We’ve forged a great divide: there’s an us and a them. There are people like us, and there are “those other people.” And we begin to emotionally and physically differentiate and isolate ourselves from “the other” because it’s far too frustrating and downright disappointing to think about how much effort we’ve put in, and how much more we deserve. So, what are we supposed to do when we’re sinking in disappointment? What do we do with the frustration we feel when others receive the things we feel we deserve?

been hurt. You’ve been misunderstood. You’ve been misrepresented.

Which likely means that in the last two years, you’ve also probably gotten
