Sermon Title: Moment at the Manger

Main Scripture: Hebrews 2:14 "Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death."

Synopsis: In this message, we look at the wonder of the incarnation. It is a call to see Christmas not as a means to get more from God, but to worship Him for what He has already given. Because Christ humbled Himself, fulfilled the law, defeated sin and death, and adopted us as God’s children, the incarnation is more than enough. Like the shepherds and the wise men, we are invited to leave what’s familiar, bow in worship, and respond with gratitude.

Outreach Sunday

Synopsis: Today, we focused on Anchor Church's partnership with three local outreach ministries that serve vulnerable populations in Missoula, Montana. Pastor Spencer emphasized the church's core value of 'gather and go' - gathering for worship but also going out to live on mission. He introduced representatives from Hope Rescue Mission (serving the homeless and those with addiction), Care Net of Missoula (supporting women facing unintended pregnancies), and The Lifeguard Group (combating human trafficking). Each ministry shared their mission, current wins, challenges, and practical ways for church members to get involved through volunteering, prayer, and financial support.

Sermon Title: How Can We Get a Bigger Picture of Faith?

Main Scripture: Hebrews

Synopsis: This Sunday we looked at how Hebrews calls us to a bigger, stronger faith as we step into Year 6 together. We explored three movements: Stir It Up — faith grows in community; Don’t Shrink Back — we move forward by remembering God’s past faithfulness; and Look Back to Look Forward — the heroes of Hebrews 11 remind us God is still faithful today. We closed with Hebrews 12:1–2, running with endurance and fixing our eyes on Jesus.

Series: Psalm 23

Sermon Title: Dwell in the House of the Lord Forever

Main Scripture: Psalm 23:6 "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever."

Synopsis: This broken world leaves us all wanting. This want either stirs up hope or despair. We conclude our series on Psalm 23 by considering the blessed hope that our Shepherd is leading us to dwell in His presence forever. It is this hope that brings stability to our souls and the motivation to follow our Shepherd until our last breath.
