Paul’s time in Athens, and especially his message at Mars Hill (Ac. 17:16-34) powerfully showcases the apologetic method of the Early Church. In Luke’s telling of the story, Paul is, first, a student of Athenian culture and belief; second, a careful critic of that same culture and belief; and third, a clear exponent of the Gospel and how it speaks to the errors of paganism, offering something that satisfies the deepest spiritual, emotional, and intellectual yearnings of the human heart. 

Billions of people have followed the teachings of Jesus over the last 2000 years. Most people who are Christians just believe - because they have encountered Him. But what about those who haven’t encountered him? As we grow in our walk with God, submit to him and love Him - our lives should radiate Christ onto those around us. And that is when people have questions. Many people want to know if Jesus actually walked the earth. They will ask if He is God - and how do you know? Did Jesus really rise from the dead? Can you prove it? In this message we are going to look at Biblical and non-Biblical proofs about Jesus’ life, death and resurrection.

"And if our God is for us, then who could ever stop us? And if our God is with us then what could stand against?” What does this truly mean? How do we know when God is for us and with us? Is this an unconditional and universal promise, or is discernment and deeper searching needed? Does God take sides?

Christians know that the communities we live in should be transformed for the kingdom of God. Yet the reality in most communities is that you would never know if Christian’s lived there or not.
