Celebration Sunday! We are hard-wired to give thanks. In our secular age, in the absence of God, we find our culture often directing their thanksgiving to themselves, each other, or the universe. But we are made to send our thanksgiving to God for his loyal love; this is what we're made for!

While this has spawned many an apologetics ministry - Peter's call is far more defensive than offensive. His main concern is that we live such good lives amongst people of other or no religions that they would be compelled to ask us about the hope we have within us.

Peter, in his letter to the church, calls followers of Jesus to live lives of gospel beauty, but what does this look like?

One of the most profound shifts you can make in your Scripture reading is moving from reading every "You" in the Bible as singular to reading it as collective. It's often the case that Scripture is addressing a whole group of people at once and this can dramatically change the way we understand Scripture.
