The way of God’s kingdom contradicts human reason. God’s ultimate goal in this world is to save as many as are willing from their sin and its eternal consequences. He sends us out to take the Gospel to everyone on the planet - that’s a big task. Yet, He chooses common people? Shouldn’t He choose those in positions of power and influence? As Pastor Marc will point out in today’s message, God intentionally picks the lowly because they’re humble and will point the glory back towards Him.

Seeing is not believing. So often we assume that if God would do some apparent, indisputable miracle it would cause anyone who witnessed it to turn to Him. But, humans are stubborn. As Pastor Marc will point out in today’s message, Jesus ministered in the cities of Chorazin, Bethsaida, and Capernaum, performing undeniable miracles. The Messiah was right there in front of these people, offering divine wisdom and healing people, yet they refused to repent and turn from sin.  

All of us struggle with doubt as we follow Christ. Our hearts are drawn back to self-reliance and human reason and it can be impossible to see the logic of how God works in our lives and those around us. As Pastor Marc will point out in today’s message, we have a lot of evidence pointing towards the deity of Christ and the truth of the Gospel, yet we struggle with doubt just like John the Baptist did during his imprisonment. We have to make the choice to trust God, even when it’s beyond our understanding.

Naturally, we’re born into opposition to God. Even John the Baptist, who was privileged to announce and prepare the way for Jesus’ first coming, struggled with this. He didn’t understand the way that Jesus was working and questioned if Jesus was truly who He said He was. As Pastor Marc will challenge us in today’s message when our own hearts begin to question the way that God’s working, we need to lean into Him more and trust that He knows better than we can and that His will is perfect. 

When we become Christians our lives start to miraculously change and transform into new and whole lives with Jesus. Oftentimes people will notice…and hopefully, they will see! But sometimes and more often than not, people won’t like that change, or they will begin to reject the Jesus way that you found. In today’s message, Pastor Marc will encourage you to stand strong and persevere through that hard time. With God, and only with God can we withstand the rejection that the world brings.

Jesus takes notice of the smallest, most insignificant details of your life…everything you go through, all the emotions you feel, EVERY SINGLE aspect of your life He knows and He cares deeply about them! In today’s message, Pastor Marc will encourage you that you have a huge value to not only God but the people and environments around you. You, personally, can make an extensive difference wherever you are! Jesus taught us this when He was on earth and He teaches it still right now through his word!

What roles are you willing to step into? or step out of? Sometimes we think as long as we love Jesus and His people we will be good Christians, and Yes, those things do matter, but we also need to be attentive to where God wants us! In today’s message, Pastor Marc will share with you from the book of Psalms, that it’s exceedingly greater for us to be in a lower, or smaller position with the approval of God than in a position of power or fame without God. It is SO vital to have the approval of God in our lives!
