Pastor Johnson uses the scriptures to illustrate God's plan for our lives. We must first be grateful that God wants to use us for his plan. We must also operate with a spirit of cooperation because God's plan is sometimes too big for us to do by ourselves. While we are executing God's plan, we must focus on the plan and not be distracted by the crowds. The plan can involve us getting to the right place, geographically, spiritually, emotionally, etc. We must stay humble and use what God provides to escort us to our purpose. The plan can sometimes be painful, but we must not let our pain limit our praise because God is worthy of praise even before he fulfills the plan.

Pastor Sharpe closes his sermon on The Beatitudes by showing how they teach us to be happy with God. We must be meek, merciful, pure in heart, and a peacemaker to experience true happiness. While walking this path, we will be persecuted for being righteous, and people will even spread false things about us. These are signs you will see while on the path. The pursuit of happiness will require our reimagination and the knowledge that it is both a realization and a destination. Happiness can thrive in the midst of confrontation, and finally, happiness emerges from our expectations.

Pastor Sharpe uses the Beatitudes to teach us how to be happy with ourselves. First, we are to be poor in spirit, meaning we have humility and know that we need each other. Second, we must have the capacity to mourn, meaning, since we have experienced real love, we mourn because that love still comes out after we lose someone. Lastly, we should be meek, meaning those in positions of authority have to exercise meekness and not become too full of themselves.

Although she defied the law before Rosa Parks, the movement leaders decided she didn't fit their criteria to be the face of the bus boycott. Pastor Sharpe also honors other forgotten names or hidden figures throughout history. He gives us two things to do when our names are forgotten. Don't repeat the sins of patriarchy, and don't let recognition be your priority.

Pastor Bryant delivers a powerful message about pain. He informs us that you can't work for God and not expect to be hurt. God puts us in uncomfortable situations because the risk is synonymous with faith, and if it is safe, it is not from God. The pain we endure enrages and prepares your imagination to push you forward in life.

Pastor Sharpe discusses the complex subject of suicide. He honors the lives of Cheslie Kryst, Jeffrey Parker, Ian Alexander Jr., Mayor Kevin Ward, and numerous young people who committed suicide because of bullying. He sums up the pressures of achievement as Crown Culture, and we can combat Crown Culture by accepting people no matter how they show up. Pastor Sharpe also interviews Minister Devona Alleyne LPC to offer more advice on the subject.

Pastor Sharpe celebrates the woman of the movement during black history month. Specifically, Mamey Till Mobley and Pharaohs appointed midwives. These women showed defiance against a system of oppression, deference (respect) for GOD, and made a difference in society.
