And then they ask a deeper question: If that’s how we feel when people remember us, how does the Savior feel about us? And how do we feel about Him?

This conversation also turns inward as they reflect on the sacrament as a sacred opportunity to remember the Savior intentionally—not just routinely. Remembering Him changes us. It softens our hearts, steadies our identity, and reminds us who we are and whose we are.

Ultimately, this anchor point invites us to look for opportunities to help others feel remembered—because that is Christlike work—and to allow ourselves to feel known and loved by the Savior who remembers us perfectly.

This anchor point is rooted in Elder William K. Jackson’s talk “Remembering the Sheep,” where he teaches the Lord’s pattern of accounting—not counting people as numbers, but knowing them as individuals. In the Lord’s kingdom, sheep are not managed in bulk; they are remembered one by one.

Stephanie and Roseanne talk about how this principle applies directly to our stewardships—especially in presidencies, councils, and leadership settings. When we speak about people by name, when we reference specific individuals and their real circumstances, something shifts. Names bring clarity, responsibility, and love. People feel seen.

We share personal experiences of what it feels like when someone remembers your name—and the intentional practice of learning and using others’ names—and how deeply that communicates worth and belonging.

Ultimately, this reflects the Lord Himself. Scripture tells us He knows us personally and calls us by name. Even in the Creation, nothing was left unnamed—light, darkness, earth, seas—each received a name. Naming establishes identity and relationship. There is something sacred about a name.

When we remember names, we are not just being organized—we are mirroring heaven. To be called by name is to be claimed. “I have called thee by name; thou art mine.”
