Beyond the shadow of a doubt, the most amazing location in all the world is at the foot of the cross of Christ. It was there that emotions ranged from horror to peace, from guilt to forgiveness, from terror to calm, from hatred to love, from unbelief to faith in God. One of the figures who stood at the foot of the cross was a Roman centurion who was a front row spectator to the greatest event in history! What he saw and heard caused a response in his heart that changed his life and his eternity. The centurion is in heaven today because of what he did with the Lord Jesus Christ when he had the chance. Are you going to do the same?

If you read the book of Genesis, it’s not long before you come across the account of Noah’s flood. Mankind had lived and multiplied upon the earth for many years, and it seems that their depth of wickedness and depravity only became worse and worse. There was great violence on the earth and men seemed to do whatever pleased them taking no thought of the righteousness of God. What an awful place it must have been - something similar to our world today. But it’s an amazing fact that Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. And grace is exactly what we need as well! The gospel brings us this good news of how this could happen – to you!

You've probably heard people say that they have 'great faith'. But surely, this can be very deceptive. A vague, undefined notion of 'having faith' or 'being spiritual' or 'believing in a higher power' has no substance. It is merely a state of mind. Or you may have great faith in an unworthy object - for example, a boat that is filled with holes. Will that faith help you when the boat begins to sink? No, it was an unworthy object for your faith. Neither is faith something you hold onto when all else fails or when there is no evidence to stand on. Nor is it a leap into the dark. These are objections that are false and misleading. Today's broadcast involves an answer to the question, "What does faith look like?"

One of the most popular parables told by the Lord Jesus Christ is known as the 'Parable of the Talents' where a nobleman goes on a journey to a far country to receive a kingdom, leaving his servants with different amounts of money to use while he was gone. There is an interesting detail that Jesus mentioned in this story - the citizens of the country REJECTED the nobleman saying, "We will not have this man to reign over us." Why did Jesus mention this point? Well, you know, that is exactly what people were saying about HIM! Many did not want Him to rule as a king over them. Is it any different today? Is it any different for YOU?

Where did humanity’s sorrow, guilt, and separation from God begin? In the Garden of Eden, Adam possessed honour, innocence, fellowship, and joy, yet sin robbed him of everything God intended him to enjoy. When God called, “Adam, where are you?” He was asking a question that still reaches every human heart today. Where are we in our relationship with the God who made us and loves us? Although sin brought shame, darkness, and death, God did not leave Adam—or us—without hope. From the earliest pages of Scripture, God revealed that a Saviour would come and defeat the power of sin. Have you ever been completely lost and unable to find your way home? The Bible uses the familiar picture of wandering sheep to describe the spiritual condition of every human being. We may appear confident, respectable, and in control, yet God sees how far our hearts have wandered from Him. The Lord Jesus Christ is presented as the silent Lamb who willingly walked toward suffering and death for guilty sinners. Throughout history, memorials have been raised to honour those who died so that others might live in freedom. But there is one death that stands above every other sacrifice - the death of the Lord Jesus Christ. His life was not taken from Him against His will; He deliberately laid it down because of His love for sinners. Yet the story did not end at the cross or inside a sealed tomb. Jesus Christ rose from the dead and is alive today, ready and willing to save.
