King Jehoikim of Judah hated the message of Jeremiah the prophet. When he read the text, he just cut it out and threw it into the fire. Metaphorically, that happens all the time today. Sadly, many people just cut out of their Bible what they don't like. Does that describe me?

We know, of course, that the Hebrew-Christian Scriptures were not originally written in English. The Old Testament was first penned in Hebrew (and portions in Aramaic). The New Testament was written in the koine (common) Greek of the day. If I don't read these languages, how can I know what was originally written? Must I be skeptical of modern-day translations into my native tongue? Did the translators get it right? Let's study this topic for a few minutes.

The human race cannot long survive without a knowledge of God, the true God (Creator) of the Bible. Western Civilization is crumbling before our eyes because many nations have forgotten God. Unless this worldview is reinstated and becomes influential once again, the handwriting of doom on the wall of our culture at large will be a prophecy fulfilled.

Some words have fallen out of popular usage. Who says "that's groovey," or "thanks, daddio?" Even to approve of something by saying "that's swell" is confined to old movies and TV shows. But there is a serioius problem when one of the most important words in the world falls into disuse. This is especially troublesome when the concept expressed by that word is vital to grasp in order for us to prepare for time and eternnity. "Sin" is such a word. It is rarely uttered. But we must understand it.

Do you know beyond a reasoable doubt that, if you died right now or the Lord returned, you would go to heaven? Are you saved? If you say, Yes, then, how do you know this? If you say, No, then shouldn't you find out what you must do? If you say, I'm not sure, then there is hope for you to learn the answer as you consider Biblical teachings which we herein explore.

Unidentified aerial phenomena provoke fear in the hearts of many. What are these? Do intelligent beings from faraway planets sometimes visit the earth? What does the Bible say about this issue?

The most spectacular and wildest of activities are witnessed nowadays in the name of religion. What passes for "worship" in many churches is beyond the pale! It is unbelievable how much men have changed the pattern for worship set forth in Scripture. Let's take a look at what God thinks about the modern antics going on in so-called "Christian" assemblies.

Jesus' famous "Parable of the Four Soils" (Parable of the Sower) contains lessons that refute the basic points of Calvinism. Positively, it shows us all the way of salvation that is in harmony with true Biblical teachings.

We plea, "back to the Bible!" What we mean is that Christendom is badly divided. And the only workable solution and one that meets Heaven's approval is for all to return to the primitive pattern for the NT church. However, some scholars today contend that there is no pattern in the NT and there never was a pattern. Rather, they allege, the First Century church was just about as badly divided as the church today. But this is not true. We explore here how there was indeed a God-given body of doctrine in apostolic times. Yes, other doctrines were then being taught, but they did not please God and were considered as heresys.

So many people these days are just giving up on life and living. How valuable is life to you? Do you see it as trivial, drab and worthless? Or do you have purpose, meaning, and hope? Friend, you don't have to float through life in the doldrums of depair. God has a practical formula to make your life to be worth the living. It isn't just pragmatic, it is absolutely true!
