The physicist introduces the concept that their inquiry, observation, and curiosity may have caused the entanglement of these ancient civilizations and their timelines, making the archaeologist wonder if their quest for answers helped set off the atomic chain of events in the ancient world.

The Cost of Ambition

Lucifer, the fallen angel, reveals his role as the prime deceiver. He planted the seed of curiosity in Adam and watched as mankind’s hunger for knowledge and power led them to the brink of annihilation. Lucifer now manipulates events to ensure the destruction that will follow Mesopotamia and Egypt’s first strike, savoring the chaos and hoping to compel God’s attention once more.

This chapter details Egypt and Mesopotamia’s secret preparations, their construction of subterranean catapults and other primitive methods of delivering atomic weapons, and their drive to dominate. Further, it describes how Israel, the Greek Speaking World and Ancient India are compelled to enter the nuclear fray because of alliance treaties and other reasons.

Despite the summit, Mesopotamia and Egypt contemplate a preemptive nuclear strike against other ancient powers. But in their mutual mistrust, plot against each other. The scholars, now fully entangled in these ancient events, begin to fear the full-scale destruction to come. The peace which exists after the Nuclear Summit amongst Israel, India, Ancient Greece, Egypt and Mesopotamia is superficial, fragile and tension-filled.

In ancient Greece, philosophers like Socrates and Plato grapple with the intellectual and moral questions surrounding the atom—the building block of all matter. They face off against generals who seek to use this knowledge for conquest. Greece finds itself caught between the pursuit of pure knowledge and the temptation to harness atomic power for war, reflecting the internal conflict between philosophical inquiry and military ambition.

Chosen But Wise

King David of Israel, driven by conquest, seeks to use the Ark of the Covenant not only as a religious symbol but as a weapon of mass destruction. Solomon, who learns through his interactions with demons and the decimated ancient cities Sodom and Gomorrah about the true nature of the Ark, urges caution, fearing the divine power it holds.
