In this third episode, we welcome Navel Sarr originally hailing from Mauritian. He is the founder and President of SarFest (St.John’s African Festival)  based in St John's, Newfoundland.

Navel was born in Mauritania and studied computer science in Senegal and Mauritania, and has lived in Canada for 16 years, of which 5 have been in NL.  Navel created SARFest 5 years ago when he noticed that the Africans and Afro-descendant didn't want to stay in NL because they didn't feel at home. Some say there are not a lot of cultural activities for them in NL. In order to retain Africans and Afro-descendants in NL, he decided to build a bridge between Newfoundlanders and the African community. Hence SARFest was born!!
