Chris Holding is the owner of Palm Seven Films, a production company that creates content for brands and broadcasts. He is one of the most experienced sports broadcasters in the country.  Chris has worked with every major UK broadcaster including BBC, ITV, and Channel 4 as well as ESPN, IMG, NewsCorp, Discovery and more.

And in Australia, Channels 7, 9 and 10 and he’s worked on every major sporting code you can imagine including three years full-time in Formula 1 plus more, the World Rally Championship, Grand Slam Tennis, the English Premier League, the Olympics, the Paralympics, amongst others.

Di sits down with Chris to talk about his incredible career, his time in Formula 1, working on a documentary with Lewis Hamilton during his GP2 campaign, Singapore Rocks, and Drive to Survive and much more.

Chris was also the producer of the most epic Formula 1 montage, the ITV Farewell Montage after ITV’s three-year broadcast rights tenure ended with F1. The Formula 1 Sao Paolo Grand Prix in Brazil delivered plenty of action on the track and the results have upset the Australian apple cart. 

McLaren’s Lando Norris drove an impeccable weekend in both the sprint and grand prix, qualifying on pole and finishing on the top step of both. While Norris fans are joyous, Piastri fans are deflated after a DNF in the sprint and 10-second time penalty in the race where he finished fifth. 

Kimi Antonelli in the Mercedes has his highest finish ever in the race, Max Verstappen charged with another super-human performance to finish on the podium, and it was a disaster for Ferrari with a double DNF. 

Where does this leave Piastri’s championship hopes? 

And for the first time in Australia, we were treated to a choice of F1TV commentary or the usual Sky Sports commentary team. Which did you prefer?

Ay caramba! The 20th race of the 24-race season, the Mexican Grand Prix, was thrilling and exhausting in equal measure. So much action on the track, and lots of off-track excursions too.

Lando Norris scored the grand slam in Mexico City at the Formula 1 Mexican Grand Prix; pole position, he led every lap, and he convincingly won, putting him the lead in the World Drivers Championship by the narrowest of margins, just one point.

Oscar Piastri has been battling with the car for the last three grands prix and finished in 5th after qualifying in 7th, but showed the Piastri fight that we haven’t seen so much of in recent times. Piastri did seven overtakes in the race, more than any other driver (if you exclude the team orders switch back between Antonelli and Russell).

There’s also a fight in the Constructors Championship for the coveted second spot, which Ferrari clinched, now ahead of Mercedes by just one point.

Ollie Bearman in the HAAS scored the team’s highest ever finish, almost making Di cry (seriously, she wells up). And Monique is back after being away unwell for the past two weeks, and has news to share.

The championship battle is on, and you can bet that the last four races are going to deliver an exciting end. Who will be crowned World Drivers Champion in the 2025 Formula 1 season?

Austin, Texas, race 19 of the 24-race F1 season saw Max Verstappen take pole and win both the sprint race and the main race. With two McLaren DNFs in the sprint, thus scoring no points, Max is closing in on the World Drivers Championship, just 40 points behind Oscar, and 26 points behind Lando.

McLaren might have sewn up the Constructor’s Championship in Singapore on the weekend, but the race has left fans fuming at the inconsistent ‘Papaya Rules’. 

George Russell was dominant and won convincingly, Fernando Alonso was awarded ‘Driver of the Day, and Carlos Sainz made up 10 places to finish in the points, but all of that was overshadowed with what happened on lap 1 between the McLaren teammates. 

Australian and leader of the F1 World Drivers Standings, Oscar Piastri, copped a pretty hard bump from his teammate Lando Norris during a brazen overtake move. Deemed a first lap incident, which Di and Mon don’t disagree with, but they have A LOT to say about how the team is not taking charge. There’s no denying that McLaren is not protecting their leading driver in the championship. 

Singapore as a destination has so much to offer tourists from high tech attractions and modern art to great shopping if you know where to go, and cheap, delicious food.

It defies belief, but this weekend's qualifying in Baku brought out not one, not two, but SIX red flags. History has been made, and not for the right reasons. Despite the carnage in setting the grid, the race was relatively uneventful after the opening lap. Though we did see some less familiar faces gracing the podium steps, which we're always here for.

While we definitely had our eyes on the interval times in that DRS train that nobody could get off, we also kept an eye on things outside the circuit. Baku is a city that has interested us for a long time, and we looked into some of the things you can do there. Apparently, you can visit a carpet museum shaped like a rolled-up carpet, and, if you're a regular Anthony Bourdain, there are plenty of places you can go to try traditional dolma or qutab.
