In this episode, Gavyn and Haley chat with ⁠Aidan Bissett⁠, the 22-year-old singer-songwriter who traded in footballs for guitars and jumped into the TikTok game in 2020. Aidan shares about his early days on the app (before it became the ultimate launchpad for aspiring artists) and how he’s evolved musically with his new album, building on the success of "Planet."

But that’s not all—things get real as we explore therapy, the hunt for a good therapist, and our mental health status—spoiler alert: we’re doing our best! Aidan also takes us back to his all-boys school days, where his success didn’t always earn him high fives, and he dishes out some solid advice for new artists trying to navigate the wild world of today’s music industry. We somehow convinced the ridiculously talented Gatlin to be our second EVER in-person guest.  And yes, we spilled all the tea on her career highlights, including that time her single "What If I Love You" barely scraped by with a teeny 70 million streams on Spotify (very casual, very chill).

We also dive into the thrilling world of Belmont University (go Bruins!), her cross-country move from Nashville to Los Angeles, and a bunch of other stuff that makes us sound like we know what we're doing. But let’s not kid ourselves—the real magic is in the chaos. Gatlin dishes on her TikTok trolls, shares her mutual obsession with black cats (she and Gavyn both have a Binx, which is clearly the universe flexing), and valiantly attempts to manage the ADHD-fueled tornado that is Gavyn and Haley. Spoiler alert: it’s a hot mess, but she gave it her all.

Well, well, well… look who's decided to grace us with their presence! She’s written hits such as “Past Life” for Trevor Daniel and Selena Gomez, “California Sober” for Demi Lovato, "I Don't Know Why" (with NOTD) by Astrid S., and many more. She was in the Top 8 on Season Five of The Voice, and has even written a musical with Justin Tranter and Idina Menzel called “Wild” that is now a sold out show at the American Repertory Theatre.
