Key Points

Silence creates tension and it gets our attention.

We create silence in our faith by allowing fear to be louder than the peace God is offering.

Silence is not absence.

The world sees peace as calmness, but in faith, we see peace as contentment.

God’s plan is always better.

We can move from the fear and silence of our “not yets” and into the peace and surrender of opening our hands and saying “and yet, Your will, not mine.”

We worship a God that meets us in our fear.

Discussion Questions:

1) When have you noticed a silence in your faith? How did you respond to it?

2) What “not yets” are you living in right now? Where are you desperate to hear God’s voice or see Him move?

3) Spend time in prayer. Surrender your “not yets” to His will – ask God to move in a mighty way and for His peace in the midst of it.
