  • Jacob: Transformed - Part 2

We are broken. Some of us know it, and some of us don't. Either way, only God can put the pieces back together. Fortunately for us, God loves us too much to leave us alone. His grace is relentless. He finds us in our brokenness and rebuilds us.

  • Jacob: Transformed - Part 1

  • The Wicked, the Worldly and the Wise

God is holy, righteous, just, merciful, patient and gracious. He is also unchanging. Will you choose to be guided by His unchangeable character and immutable truth, and in the process find fulfillment in life? Or will you destroy yourself by choosing your own path apart from Him?

  • Sent Ones

Ultimately, meaning and purpose for our lives can only be found through the One who created us and called us into relationship with Himself. Relationship with God transforms our identities from self-seekers to "sent ones" – those who have been sent by God into a broken world to bear witness to His saving grace.

  • Abraham's Faith Renewed

When we stumble and fail, God renews our faith as we repent and worship. Such renewal strengthens not only our confidence in God and His promises, but also our willingness to give, serve and sacrifice for others.

  • Big Faith... And Big Failures

We fail when we forget God. God must be at the front and center of every thought, motive, word and action in order to successfully complete the journey of faith. Ultimately we must master this counterintuitive truth: we succeed not by trusting in ourselves but in our great God.

  • Abraham's Call

God does not call the qualified; He qualifies the called. Abraham was not worthy of God's favor, and yet God chose him to become an example of faith and the source of salvation for all humanity.

  • Fallen... And Scattered

Doing the right thing for the wrong reason is still wrong. Whether it's building cities and towers, like at Babel, or getting a degree, closing a sale, or saving for retirement, all of these good things become idols when we look to them for our significance and security. Praise God, we do not need to earn significance or build security, for they are an absolutely free gift for all who turn to Christ in faith.

  • Fallen... Into Rebellion

Murder, adultery, theft, drug abuse... we'd like to believe that we are above such evil. Yet Cain's story demonstrates that there is no limit to the evil we can commit if we do not halt the invasion of sin in our lives. From his failure we learn how to stop sin before it grows out of control. Victory is possible, not because we are any better than Cain, but because God's grace is more powerful than all our sin.
