He was a Russian-born American popular orchestral music conductor and arranger who was one of the major exponents of popular orchestra music. Dorothy Kirsten born July 6, 1910, Montclair, New Jersey passed away on November 18, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. She was an American operatic soprano.
