Andrea Cassino's association with Particles stretches back to an August 2011 remix of Alessando Diga. A further six reworkings have graced the Particles catalogue while original music in the shape of 2017's "Divine", 2020's "Losing Part of Me" and October 2021's "Asante" have graced Proton Music. Having previously made a name for himself as one half of the Cassino and Laben duo, the Italian born artist now returns to Particles with a typically powerful remix of "Salvage". Driving forwards with a dynamic 16th note bass pattern, white noise washes and clicking, popping percussion lay the foundation for the sumptuous melodic phrasing from Travis Jesse's original to flow across the near 9-minute interpretation. Familiar refrains continue to please while Cassino's trademark sonic layering and silky-smooth pads add elegance and class in bountiful measures.

Moving into progressive minded territory with selection three are Andrea Cassino, Lio Q and Nicolas Leonelli. Hailing from the progressive music mecca of Argentina, this trio of talented artists have all found favour with the genre’s premiere tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, while boasting a collective resume with releases via Clubsonica Records, Droid9, Proton Music, UV and more. Now uniting for a special collaborative project, the trio flexes their creative muscles with the deep, cross-cultural sounds of ‘Khevar’. Soulful and melodic in equal measure, the near ten-minute journey delights with voluptuous grooves, meditative arps and a transcendent vocal which is sure to captivate your dancefloor

Andrea Cassino is a name synonymous with a modern progressive house sound. Born in Italy but now firmly based in his adopted Argentinean home, the Buenos Aries resident has been a regular contributor to the Proton catalogues with a slew of original music and a quartet of high-profile remixes. His May 2017 “Divine” EP opened his account with a stunning twin track offering, while September’s “Losing Part of Me” saw a powerful collaboration with Greenage. Collaborating with Lio Q in October 2021 bore fruit via the “Asante” EP while remixes for GMJ, Michael A, Rudy and Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat, told their own story of Cassino’s success.
