In this episode, Rich and Andrew Jernigan discuss:
Key Takeaways:
"The things that happen in our life, the connections that we make, it's so crucial. Because we're giving into other people, and in that process, we learn we receive so much as we pour into others, pull the gold out of other people." — Andrew Jernigan
About Andrew Jernigan:
As co-founder and CEO of Insured Nomads, an early-stage company disrupting the way insurance is delivered for the modern company with a distributed team or multinational presence. Andrew stands dead center at the intersection of insurance and travel risk management, innovation, and building a delivery model for travel and global health insurance that will serve as the standard for the future of work through the application of insurtech, fintech, and traveltech. Passionate about protecting people around the world, Andrew is hyper-focused on building a new benefit model, so that modern employer travelers, ex-pats, and digital nomads can explore the world freely and work within it with increased well-being and peace of mind.
Andrew’s extensive experience in the healthcare, insurance, and banking industries locally, regionally, and globally, and his early adoption of expatriate/nomadic life, has provided him with the unique experiences and perspective to break boundaries through the merging of technology with humanity. Having volunteered, traveled, and lived on several continents, he learned first-hand that insurance had to evolve to provide relevant, trustworthy, and intuitive, person-centered services that world travelers and remote workers needed as remote work increasingly became normalized and expected.
Andrew is a graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, married to co-founder Juliana Jernigan, of which they share three young adults. In addition to serving as CEO, Andrew is also a Strategic Advisor for Shap, and Share Hope International, a fellow with Travel Tech Executive Fellowship and On Deck (ODS3), and co-host of the popular podcast, The New Nomad.
