Spirituality was a big deal for Andy, but his growing up years and background were not conducive to what Andy believed was spirituality. Dr. Runcorn learns some things about Andy that he didn't fully know previously. Andy, just like all of us, is a child of God, and he knows and understands that, but Andy has allowed occurrences in his life to take over and question his faith in God. Andy knows what the presence of God feels like, especially because when Andy is in the mountains he recognizes His voice and that feeling all too familiar. Isn't it easy to decide whether we're believers or not? It should be, but Andy has some experiences that bring about doubt on his faith.
