In this passage today, we see Paul have words for us regarding slavery.  What are we to do with this?  How are we to interpret and understand passages such as these that deal with things like slavery?  

Understanding the whole teaching of scripture is a great start. When we see the movement and teaching of the whole of scripture, it helps passages like this make better sense in context.

Today we look at Paul's teaching regarding parents and children. First, we see that children are to obey and honor their parents. What does that mean, especially as we grow older?  And what about if our parents aren't acting in ways that really deserve that honor and obedience.  We also see that Paul has a word for children. How are we to raise and discipline them in the Lord?

Today we begin a section in Ephesians that deals with the different relationships within our lives. Today, we look at what Paul says for husbands and wives, and it is words that you have heard before.  Join us as we look deeper.

Today in our readings, we see that constant battle between light and darkness. To live in the darkness may seem comfortable and appealing, but it does not lead to life. To walk in the light means that first we must wake up and let Christ's light shine upon us. That first light can seem blinding and can even be painful. But when we wake up and live in the light, we find life.

In our reading today, we see Paul offer some very practical advice for us as Christians in how we live our daily lives.  One of the things that we see, that comes up in this passage is this, anger. We are told, be angry, but do not sin. How do we deal with anger? What does that look like within our lives?

In our INTERSECTION sermon from May 30. Andy shares with us from John 3: 1-17.  We see in this passage that even the serpent, the cursed one from Genesis 3 is used as a symbol of God's love and repetition. Even the serpent is used by God.  

Today we look at Ephesians 4: 17-24. We are told that the renewed mind is the key in our battle to live a life seeking that honors God. But, what does that mean? What does it mean to renew our minds?

In our Pentecost 2021 message, Andy shares with us from Acts 2: 1-21.  We see on this day the Spirit fall and God do amazing things in the church. Our church desires to be faithful as well, and we hear some specifics about some of the options God has giving our church as part of our building campaign today! 

Today in Ephesians, we are told that we are to live a life worthy of the Gospel. Goodness, that sounds tough. What does that even mean?   I used to struggle with that concept.  I still do, but today for an entirely different reason.

Today in Ephesians, we see this truth. We are loved more than our minds can ever truly know and understand.  You can know this love that surpasses knowledge. Today, you can know the unknowable; all through faith.
