For Episode 009, ANÉMONE Radio welcomes Pedro with a live recording from Electric Island, Toronto.

A Dutch-Caribbean DJ and producer born and raised in Aruba, Pedro has been immersed in music for over 22 years. Now a staple of Toronto’s electronic music scene, he has held residencies at Coda, DPRTMNT, Vertigo and Takeover6.

For this episode, Pedro takes us through his signature sound moving seamlessly from dark progressive rhythms into hard groove and driving techno, before pushing into harder territory while keeping the groove at the heart of the dance floor.

Beyond the booth, Pedro is also the founder of AnochI, a party series built around culture, music and community. More than an event, Anochi reflects Pedro’s vision of techno as an art form and a shared experience .

This episode captures Pedro live at Electric Island in Toronto , a moment from the dance floor, brought to ANÉMONE Radio.

“I left Montreal feeling worn down and distanced from the city. Coming back for Igloofest shifted something. I found myself reconciled with Montreal. My relationship to the city took on a different dimension. This set is a thank-you note to Montreal, and a way to capture the complexity of my love relationship with it.”

This set explores reconciliation through high energy techno, trance and emotional intensity.
