This month, Ang sits down for a chat with CommQuest Services CEO, Elaine Russell Reolfi to talk about the work they're doing to support families across Stark county.

CommQuest reignites hope through mental health, addiction recovery and social services that help people survive and live their best lives. It is services like these, amongst their many others, that help struggling families with young children get back on their feet in times of need.

This episode, our CEO Angela Perisic talks with Amy Weisbrod, the Executive Director of Margaret B. Shipley Child Health Clinic, a non-governmentally funded safety-net pediatric clinic- one of the only in the U.S. to be operating fully independent of other medical entities.

Serving 12 counties and over 50 zip codes, Shipley places value on children and families who need love, support, and quality medical care which they couldn't get otherwise. Margaret B. Shipley Child Health Clinic has gained all of its patients and widespread acclaim exclusively through word-of-mouth advertising and the families that return to them, generation after generation, for their unmatched care.  

The clinic provides children and families with high quality medical services and facilities, while making it accessible to all- regardless of their status. 

Amy tells listeners how Shipley came to be and the story behind the woman who was dedicated her life to opening the clinic back in the early 1970’s, now lovingly quipped "Maggie B". Sharing more stories from the clinic, Amy expresses the importance of having a clinic like Shipley in our community- now more than ever. The need is there, and so is the Margaret B. Shipley Child Health Clinic; more people just need to know about it!
