  • The Parable of the Wheat and Tares
This sermon examines the parable of the wheat and the tares to distinguish the popular narrative of an earthly, political kingdom from the spiritual reality revealed by Jesus. It explains that the Son of Man sows good seed among the world's lost sinners, while the devil sows tares, resulting in a mixed community that persists until the end of the age. The text emphasizes that final separation occurs at the harvest, where angels remove all offenses and lawless offenders, casting them into eternal judgment, while the righteous shine in the Father's kingdom. The preacher urges listeners to urgently examine their own hearts to ensure they are true citizens of God's kingdom rather than secret hypocrites, highlighting the necessity of continuous faith and repentance. This message serves as a sobering call to verify one's standing before God, particularly in the context of the Lord's Supper, by relying on God's grace rather than human merit.

  • Grace that Comes to You
This sermon explores the theme of enduring trials through the assurance of God's grace and the magnitude of Christian salvation. It highlights how Old Testament prophets diligently searched for the salvation that is now fully revealed to believers, a mystery even angels desire to understand. The message encourages believers to remain sober-minded and alert for the return of Christ, rather than focusing solely on immediate relief from suffering. Furthermore, it calls for a life of obedience and holiness, urging Christians to grow in grace and avoid returning to former sinful patterns despite the hardships they face.

  • Jesus, More Glorious Than Moses
The sermon expounds on Hebrews 3, establishing the supremacy of Jesus Christ over Moses, Abraham, and the angels to define His unique role as the Apostle and High Priest. It argues that while Moses served as a faithful servant in God's house, Christ is the faithful Son and the ultimate Builder of the church, which constitutes the true house of God. The message emphasizes that the perseverance of believers is not dependent on their own ability to hold fast, but on the unchanging faithfulness of Christ, who secures their salvation through His merit and intercession. Drawing from the 1689 Second London Baptist Confession and Psalm 95, the text warns against hardening one's heart like the wilderness generation, urging believers to find confidence in Christ's work rather than their own performance. The sermon concludes with a pastoral call to renew repentance and trust in the changeless Savior, who prays for the strength of His people to ensure their faith does not fail.

  • Holding to the Head
The sermon examines the dangers of false teaching in the church at Colossae, specifically addressing the traits of false humility, the worship of angels, and the pride that drives such deviations. It emphasizes that these errors result in a disconnection from Jesus Christ, who is the head of the body, thereby cutting off believers from spiritual nourishment and growth. The message urges the congregation to resist being cheated of their reward by remaining firmly connected to Christ through the prayer, Scripture, and the church. This holistic approach ensures that believers maintain their vital connection to the head, allowing them to flourish in the faith.

  • 26-10-11 Meet Jesus Christ
Meet Jesus Christ Faith Debate: Sunday, October 11th, 2026 (10/18/26 on 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland) A man says he met a woman named Christina in 2023 while he was sitting on a front porch swing. She walked across the lawn carrying an iPad, like many salespeople do. The young lady sat in front of this man and his wife and began speaking about history, the Bible, and the church. Then she added that she knew the man was born with water on the brain, which is true. This seemed very supernatural, and so tears filled the couple's eyes as they contemplated what they were experiencing. This angelic-type presence didn't say how she knew the medical information; she simply looked up at the sky and smiled, telling the man three times, "You don't get it". Then she turned, and using her iPad brought a cool breeze from the north that moved through the treetops in a rotation specifically around the house and its street. Finally, she looked the man in the eyes and told him that she was sent by God with a message: "You've been kept alive to protect innocent people from evil". What should a Christian think about such a happening? Some quickly dismiss it as a lie. But if the story is real, and not a fabrication, what then? The panel continues to consider all of this in part 4 of a 4 of a unique series. Find The Faith Debate at wfmd.com, ChristianPodcastCommunity.org, & podcast platforms like SermonAudio & Odysee. • JACOB'S STONE AT BETHEL
JACOB'S STONE AT BETHEL. [When an Ordinary Stone Became a Memorial] Genesis 28:10–22 KJV What happens when an ordinary stone becomes a memorial of an extraordinary encounter with God?In this powerful lesson, we follow Jacob as he flees from home, faces an uncertain future, and spends a lonely night in the wilderness. With nothing but a stone for his pillow, Jacob discovers that God is present even in life's darkest and loneliest places.Through Jacob's dream of a ladder reaching toward heaven, God's covenant promises, and the stone Jacob erected at Bethel, we discover the importance of remembering God's faithfulness. We also examine the ancient standing stones known as masseboth, including those discovered at Gezer, and learn to distinguish biblical certainty from archaeological evidence and speculation. Most importantly, we discover how Jacob's ladder points beyond the stone to Jesus Christ, the only way to the Father.Every Christian ought to have some Bethels—spiritual landmarks where we remember God's presence, answered prayers, and unfailing faithfulness. But our faith must never rest in a place, a monument, or a memory. It must rest in Jesus Christ alone! REMEMBER YOUR BETHEL—BUT BUILD YOUR LIFE ON JESUS CHRIST! "Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not." — Genesis 28:16 KJV The stone remembered the encounter. The ladder pointed toward heaven. But only the Savior can bring us to God!

  • Matthew 24:36-44 - The Day and Hour - Pastor Casey Lewis
When will Jesus Christ return? What did He mean when He said that no one knows the day or hour? And who is taken and who is left behind in Matthew 24? In Matthew 24:36-44, Pastor Casey Lewis continues through the Olivet Discourse, examining Jesus' teaching about the unknown timing of His Second Coming, the days of Noah, and the sudden separation that will occur when Christ returns. Jesus warns that no one knows the day or hour of His return—not even the angels of heaven. Pastor Casey examines what Jesus meant when He said "nor the Son," considering Christ's divine and human natures, His earthly ministry, and the doctrine of the Trinity. The sermon then explores Jesus' comparison between His return and the days of Noah. Just as the flood came unexpectedly while people continued their ordinary lives, the return of Christ will be sudden, visible, and accompanied by judgment. But what about the two men in the field and the two women at the mill, where one is taken and the other left? Pastor Casey considers the popular Rapture interpretation associated with dispensational premillennialism and Left Behind, then explains why he believes those taken are taken in judgment, while those left are preserved. He examines the context of Noah's flood, the Parable of the Weeds, the Parable of the Net, and Luke 17. Ultimately, Jesus' message is not an invitation to predict the date of His return, but a command to stay awake, be ready, and live faithfully for Christ.
