Moses had a stick; the widow had a jar of oil and the servant one talent. We must begin to use our abilities spiritually instead of waiting on some great spiritual ability. Love is the only law we have been given as believer. It is the only commandment we can transgress or sin against. But beyond sin, God wants us to profit through love. The Bible encourages us to stand, even after we have done everything. There is a conviction that is required to go through life and as believers we need to have faith in our faith. Do not substitute faithfulness for faith. God has designed life to operate by principles and laws. Our advantage as believers is we know the right principles and the correct time to apply them. Many people wonder why they are not prospering in life even with their piety. We need to move from reliance on the mercy of God to His grace, power and ability. We can only perform as best as our training. Many believers are surprised when they find out they did not say, do or act like they have intended. What makes the difference is preparation and training. God wants you to get trained or discipled for any endeavor, secular or spiritual. Be blessed by this musing on training.

Being a person of your word is mor valuable to God than any skill or ability you may have. God looks for men who keep their word to establish them. In a day where it is becoming difficult to trust and keep promises, God wants us to be different. Many childhood traumas and broken relationships can be traced to broken promises.
