    A man who attempted to rip a large cross from the roof of an east London church has been arrested by police.

    Footage posted on social media appears to show a man repeatedly trying to pull a wooden cross from its base above the entrance to Chadwell Heath Baptist Church in Romford.

    With the hood of a coat placed over the cross the man can be seen using all his force to release the cross from the roof of the church.

  • Episode Nineteen: MPs could get £3,000 pay rise under new proposals

    The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) on the 9th October set out plans to raise the wages of MPs by 4.1 per cent in line with the public sector's three-month annual growth figure.


    The proposals would see all MPs receive a pay rise of £3,360, taking their salaries to £85,291.

  • Episode Eighteen- US First Vice Presidential Debate 2020.

    As I said.  After watching US Vice First Presidential Debate 2020. Pence was cool, calm and collected. Harris seemed like she was attempting to perform before a jury. She tried deflecting and redirecting the convo back to the well-worn anti-Trumpisms, but Pence never took the bait. My personal opinion Mike Pence was a total class act, and Kamala didn’t have a clue. Again, moderator didn't hit the Democratic Party's candidate with ANY tough questions. I didn’t think Kamala could be more unlikeable…until tonight. Best quote of the night Vice President Mike Pence "Your entitled to your own opinion, not to your own facts!" Simply great!

  • Episode Seventeen: US First Presidential Debate 2020.

    As I said after watching US First Presidential Debate 2020. I genuinely can't believe anyone watching thinks Biden is capable of running a cake stand let alone America. Moreover, Chris Wallace posed questions to Trump aimed at cornering him while posing questions to Biden giving him a chance to explain himself. It was two against one, but one still prevailed. Also, Wallace is a respected journalist and I expected more out of him. He was not fair with both men and should have never added in his personal opinion. Wallace is a respected journalist and again I expected more out of him. After that debate, I think the next moderator will either need a loud whistle, a bell, or an air horn! Neither Trump or Biden knew when to shut up!

    University freshers are set for a very different experience in a post-lockdown world.

    Swansea University has plans to keep students safe in "bubbles" among flatmates.

    That means there will be a ban on parties and having people to stay.

    “The students, as young adults, have a responsibility to look after their welfare, not just themselves but also their flatmates and people on their various courses,” said Ceri Jones, who runs the university's accommodation.
