In the veterinary world an exotic animal is an animal which is not a dog or ca and hasn't historically been thought of as a pet. Including rabbits, ‘small furries’ (guinea pigs, rats...), birds and reptiles. Emma and Jess had some beloved Exotics growing up and as adults we have had the pleasure of knowing veterinary practitioners (and in Emma’s case, marrying one), who have opened our eyes deeper into the Animal Kingdom!
