Jon and Dave go swimming with the fishes in this week's episode to discuss Finding Nemo.  They talk about the film's place in the larger Pixar cannon, what the film signified for the studio and computer animation in general. Thomas Newman is lauded, as is the subtle, yet brilliant, vocal cast. Also, Seth Rogen is reviled and The Rock is mentioned for some reason.

Jon and Dave help get you in the mood for trick-or-treating with Henry Sellick's spooky classic, Coraline. The guys kick things off by discussing the film's macabre subject matter and debate a story teller's respsonsibility to their audience. They also draw comparisons to Nightmare Before Christmas, and once again laud the patience for the creators of stop-motion animation. Elsewhere, they take turns gushing over the movie's iconic visuals, the score, and Keith David as a cat.

Jon and Dave take a crack at the most foul-mouthed animated film of all time, South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. They each give their take on why the film resonated 20 years ago, which parts haven't held up, and discuss why the film's strengths double as weaknesses. Also, Dave still laughs at "Uncle Fucka," Jon giggles at Bill Gates' untimely demise, and both ponder why this type of humor is receeding from the culture. One thing's for sure, Phil Collins sucks.

Jon and Dave relax at the mid-season point to discuss the cult classic, A Goofy Movie. They speak of the film's small charm and understated brillianance, and ponder why the film hasn't necessarily achived the status is deserves. Also, Goofy has heart, the songs slap, and Dave gives us a preview of the live-action Goofy Movie remake staring Christian Bale!

Jon and Dave dig into the cult classic, 1999's The Iron Giant. Jon explains why the film ranks among his personal favorites, while Dave (who recently watched the film for the first time) gives his take, too. They discuss the film's broad appeal, what it misses about the particulars, and why the character design remains iconic. Also, Jon details the movie's disastrous theatrical run, it's literary inspirations, and Dave finds another reason to talk about Tom Cruise.

Dave recalls his experience with the film as a child, including the nice video store clerk who bent the rules to let Dave take a copy home.
