Anime North started in 1997 as a small gathering of anime enthusiasts in Toronto. The initial event was modest, attracting a few hundred attendees who shared a passion for Japanese animation and culture. 

As we look forward to Anime North 2024, the lessons from the pandemic years continue to shape the event. With a focus on safety, inclusivity, and enjoyment, Anime North is set to deliver an unforgettable experience.
