Anime Pulse

Robots. Think on that for a minute, won’t you? See, we too can write Black Mirror episodes. Also, what about cameras? What if there was one inside your bidet water supply? And it possessed the memories of Winston Churchill? Scary, right? On that note, we have Soulm8te[2026]. It’s supposed to take place in the same universe as M3gan. If there’s anything you can find in is and you’re a fan of M3gan, please write us an email. We have our guy, David, who is sad because his wife died. He’s also an engineer for a small startup that gets bought. They give him a AI agent and a robot for …

Did you know there’s a new Resident Evil movie out? And it’s directed by Zach Cregger who did the movie Weapons! So you know what that means. We’re doing two manga so that’s entirely unrelated. Unless maybe you count the fact we’re doing revisits which is kind of like rising from the grave. Yeah, so it’s like zombie manga. That’s the connection. We can make it all come around on a long enough timeline. Tim has Durarara. This time it’s the first two volumes. We have a large cast of colorful characters that’s very rushed in the first volume. The long and short of it is a there’s a Dullahan …

It’s officially Fall. It’s still pretty warm around us, hitting the high eighties and low nineties. But we’re seeing the leaves change and hoodies come out of storage. Which can only mean we need to be on the look out for the pumpkin spiced liquor of some kind. As is our tradition. Worst case we get pumpkin spice vodka and have fall shots. What if you were a cop but racist? That’s the bold thought experiment that Hollywood dared to ask with the movie Heart Condition(1990). But, stay with us here, what if he were a likable schlub who learned the error of his ways? So you cast Bob Hoskins as a cop who gets a heart transplant from Denzel Washington who now haunts Hoskins. Also they were both in love with the same prostitute who used to have a heroin problem. Nothing you haven’t seen before. Next up is Tim with The Runner[2026]. Gal Gadot was given the headline in another movie. This time she’s a woman lawyer in London and has …
