Curator Anita Kirpalani from the National Gallery of Victoria joins us to discuss Mercy, a major new exhibition by acclaimed Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson. Known for his expansive video installations, durational performance works and looping musical compositions, Kjartansson uses repetition, melancholy and humour to probe the emotional undercurrents of contemporary life. Mercy brings together recent and newly commissioned works that explore longing, devotion and the fragile beauty found in endurance. Presented at the NGV and running until 4 October.
