Symphocat - an ambient composer, an audio engineer, an author of audio-visual projects, a curator of concerts and showcases of experimental and spatial music, the creator of the musical label Symphonic Silence Inside. Ilya Symphocat is closely connected to musical genres Ambient, Drone, Experimental, Electroacoustic, works with field recordings, tries and exposes the influence of modern classical music, avangard and minimalism in his art. Among the project’s works are collaborations with independent ansamblis, improvising choirs, dancers, performers, poets. The musician’s portfolio includes projects on the sound for feature and documentary movies. Symphocat actively goes on tours and participates in big festivals and concerts of different platforms (Gamma Festival, Signal, Synthposium, Fields, Acousmonium, Inversia, Белый Шум, Sun Spirit and others). The musician’s ambient performances are heard on stages of city parks, cultural establishments, art museums and galleries and philharmonic halls, as well as at industrial locations of raves. Since 2007 Ilya has performed as the creator and curator of the musical label Symphonic Silence Inside, under the umbrella of which he has organized audio-visual concerts, musical tours and showcases for the artistic society of musicians.
