In this podcast Ann Collins, in conversation with Lisa Rickert, remembers some famous entertainers who came to Newman. She relates how they used to make their own fun, including going around and singing Christmas Carols in town, then ending up at Midnight Mass in the Catholic Church. Ann recalls the Child Health Care that was available in the early days and Margaret Dredge who worked in this area. Together Ann and Lisa outline the different shops that were in the Hilditch Ave block of shops and the people who worked in them.
