In this podcast Peter Gates, in conversation with Lisa Rickert, remembers the school involvement in the Fortescue Festival, and also the Fair Go Games. He also describes how, with the company's help, they cultivated a school oval and laid a cricket pitch in the middle. And it was there that they began the sub junior cricket competitions in Newman. He recalls some of the school trips where he accompanied the students, including Perth and Canberra. He also remembers some of his teaching techniques and the mnemonics that helped the students to remember things.
