Tamil heritage is one of the richest as we all know it. The Tamil poets understood the value of documentation long ago and had documented everything from hunger, anger, war and love. The interesting aspect of it is most of the Sangam literature was written by common people, about common people and their lifestyle. Sangam Literature lets us look into the lives of men and women through the eyes of their lovers, friends, masters and also slaves.
We will never know if it was done on purpose or if that is the way they lived.
