Listen Later

In this week’s episode of “How do you Say That?!”, Annette Rizzo joins Sam and Mark to talk about medical scripts, being pushed out of your comfort zone and how character reads can inform your corporates! Annette's a member of the Equity Audio Committee so we discuss what union membership can do for you.

We’d love you to join in and send us your version of one of the reads in today’s show – just pop it onto an mp3 and send it to [email protected]

Script 1

Thank you for volunteering with The War Years.

As a volunteer, you will be assisting with a Digital Collection Day.

Here’s how it works:

- The first stage happens at the Welcome Desk – here, the participants are made comfortable and ready to share their stories along with any physical items of wartime heritage they have brought for digitization.

- They will be provided with the necessary forms they require to guide them through the process.

- Once the participants have completed these forms, they will proceed to the Interview Stage.

Script 2

Different parts of the limbic system are located on the medial aspect of the cerebral hemisphere and diencephalon.

Crucial parts of this system include the hippocampus, septal nuclei, parahippocampal and cingulate gyri, hypothalamus, the anterior nucleus of the thalamus, and parts of the amygdala.

In addition, certain parts of the limbic system are vital for memory and learning. For certain specific types of dementia, it’s in this zone that some of the earliest structural pathologic changes may be observed.
