Good to be here again! š
Welcome back, everyone! This is Hive Open Mic Week 267, and Iām @Anniebest. Iām super excited to be part of this weekās challenge with the theme āFragranceā. For my entry, Iāll be doing a cover of the powerful worship song āFragrance to Fireā by Dunsin Oyekan, a highly anointed Nigerian gospel minister known for his spirit-filled songs.
This particular song, Fragrance to Fire, holds a special place in my heart. It opened my eyes to the reality that worship is more than just singing beautifully or enjoying melodies, it is spiritual warfare. It taught me that our songs of praise rise up like a fragrance before God, and in response, He sends down fire, His presence, power, and victory into our lives.
Many times, we sing songs just because they sound good or because we already know the lyrics. But this song shifts that mindset completely. It reminds me that worship is not passive; it is active. It is powerful. It can break chains, heal wounds, and silence every voice of fear and defeat. Our heartfelt praise can truly shift atmospheres and usher in divine intervention.
Thatās why this song means more to me than just music. Itās a reminder that even in my lowest moments, lifting up a sound of worship can turn situations around.
I sincerely hope that as you listen to my cover, you also experience the same light, strength, and spiritual awakening that this song has brought to my life.
Thank you all for your love and support always! šš
[Intro]
First it was fragrance
Then it turned to fire
My worship is my weapon
This is how Iā
winā
my battle
The fragranceā
of my worship
Rose up to theā
Father
Noises, Thunderings, Earthquakes
Were the response to my worship
The fragrance of my worship
Rose up to the Father
Noises, Thunderings, Lightnings
Were the response to my worship
The fragrance of my worship
Rose up to the Father
Noises, Thunderings, Earthquakes
Were the response to my worship
The fragrance of my worship
Rose up to the Father
Noises, Thunderings, Lightnings
Were the response to my worship
