There's a place even deeper than The Ninth Circle of Hell and it's called the Anointing The Sick Metal Blog and what could be more apt than opening the show with a band called Horrible with a track off their album 'Filth then following up with some nihilistic party slop from deathsters Trunk, both albums can be purchased for NYP on Bandcamp. There's a heavy stoner/doom/psych presence this week including albums from Dusted Angel and Stone Machine Electric that entered September's Doom Charts. The random pick this week and also the showpiece track is the immense sludge of Sea Bastard. I saw them a couple of times in Manchester years ago supporting the likes of Graves at Sea and Sourvein and I never recovered.

Imagination holds no bounds when you listen to an Anointing The Sick Metal Blog show and its a particularly sick one this week, opening  with a track off the incoming sludge monster 'Astralis' by Azell. There's lots of doom, death and general carnage and the filth pit has been very bountiful this week. There are tracks from new albums that have been a highlight for me over the last couple of weeks from Treasondom, Supernaughty, Malthusian, God's Funeral, Heidrun, Molosser Crude and Sars. The show closes with a doom monster from the often surprisingly melodic Pallbearer.

Show #243 We Are The Fallen is now available to download or generally piss off Granny. This is the most extreme show I've done in a while courtesy of Haepethral records and aided and abetted by the ugly sounds of some of my favourite new releases from False Gods, Afghan Haze, Tar Pit, Mud Valley alongside new groove laden thrash tunes from Silius.  Speaking of thrash, I'm playing Messiah for the first time in a while and a new thrash discovery for me, Drain Down as well as Sentry. Doom Charts is represented by Kitsa from last year. This show opens with a nasty dose of doomy tunes by PVRS and there's a filthy full stop with Mexican deathsters Cathartic. Among all this carnage I've ladled even more doom with a track by We Follow The Earth and added some stoner acid from Space Coke. A modicum of sanity is offered by a savage brand of grunge from Fuzz Forward.

There is a heavy doom chart prescence this week with the show kicking off with Italian stoners Rhino. Much of this episode contains stner doom bands but the filth pit has spewed forth some inpenetrable blackened deathgrind in the form of Maurda. As usual, I've highlighted some albums you may have missed last year but the second part of the show gives a taste of what has been on offer over the last few weeks and are highly recommended by the Blog. The show closes  with a killer song from 2014 from stoner doomsters Let It Breathe.

All aboard hahahahahaha!! It's destination pain on today's Anointing The Sick Show right down to the final track from funeral doom death band Wastes.
