  • LPUD - February Winners Transparency Video
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=anomadsoul/paaxvyrc
    ### [Check the official announcement here](https://leofinance.io/@leogrowth)
    This is a video where I pick the LPUD winners for the month of February, this is not an announcement, it's just a video where anyone can watch the process we used to pick the winners of the 9th Leo Power Up day.
    This is the SQL query I ran to get the LPUD January participants:
    ```
    Select
    ID, json, timestamp, tid, required_auth
    From
    TxCustoms
    where
    timestamp between '2023-02-14' and '2023-02-16 14:00:00'
    and tid like '%ssc_mainnet_hive%'
    and json like '%"contractAction":"stake"%'
    and json like '%"symbol":"LEO"%'
    order by timestamp desc
    ```
    ***
    This is the Javascript script I ran to clean the SQL database:
    ```
    const leo = [
    '{"contractName":"tokens","contractAction":"stake","contractPayload":{"to":"tinyputerboy","symbol":"LEO","quantity":"0.225"}}',
    '{"contractName":"tokens","contractAction":"stake","contractPayload":{"to":"kolus290","symbol":"LEO","quantity":"2.115"}}',
    ];
    for (let i = 0; i < leo.length; i++) {
    const obj = JSON.parse(leo[i]);
    console.log(obj.contractPayload.to, parseFloat(obj.contractPayload.quantity));
    }
    ```

    Chess is one of the nerdiest topics I can think of.

  • That feeling when you're just not feeling it
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=anomadsoul/dgcfwabo
    #### Guys, I think my mojo is gone.
    As simply as that sounds.
    I used to be 1498 ELO in rapid chess on chess.com but now I am sitting a little bit above 1300 and it sucks.
    My game style has changeed though, I no longer play it safe, I actually look for sacrifices all the time and ways to unbalance the position as much as possible even at the cost of a full piece or being down an exchange.
    If I play solid and safe chess I might be able to get back to 1500, but I don't want to do that, I actually want to play exciting chess and have crushing victories with theatricality and deception, just like Bane would play and win.
    So far it hasn't worked out for me. At first it did, but as of late I've been on a losing streak so bad that I almost rage quit this video, but I was able to stay under control of my emotions.
    I say I lost my mojo because I am missing tactics and mate in one patterns that normally I would detect with one glance at the position. I have no idea if it is because I've been playing a lot of bullet chess and rapid is too slow for me now or what, but I am losing in the dumbest ways possible, and this video is proof of that.
    Yes, I messed up the music once again, I have no idea what is going on with my OBS. Last time I had no sound and now the *background* is actually front and center, but I just couldn't resist to upload this video where I portray what *losing your mojo* is

  • Mis-clicks mean a lot in online chess
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=anomadsoul/btgbmdkw
    Playing Chess is easy, the hard part is to win and to rise your ELO level.
    That's the hard part.
    I used to think I would never cross the 1000 barrier on rapid, in fact I stayed there a long, long time. I even thought of quitting.
    But the more you learn, the more you realize Chess is beautiful and it has layers upon layers. I don't think I enjoy chess as much as a 2000 does, and that person has no idea how fun chess can be a for a 2500.
    My personal goal is to just learn to enjoy Chess without having my utter focus in growing my level, which is why the momento I reached 1500 I completely quit Chess with that mindset.
    Now I just try to enjoy it, learn more, and slowly become better.
    In this video I go from 1430 to 1414, which sucks, but I actually managed to enjoy parts of this. I didn't enjoy it all because for me, winning is the best way to enjoy things. I don't play anything if I don't intend to win, but I no longer get angry or mad if I lose, at least when it comes to chess.
    I hope you enjoy this video!

  • Blowing up a chance of finishing 6 games won out of 7
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=anomadsoul/bcxnzchu
    One huge Queen blunder, then not knowing my theory correctly and taking with the bishop instead of the knight, then 25 seconds difference.
    That's the difference between winning 3/7 and winning 6/7 games.
    In the first game I'm talking about I was up 7 points of material and I blundered my queen because I overlooked a move due to distractions. @stranger27 ended up taking my queen and I lost the game.
    In the second game I'm talking about I had a -3 advantage had I taken with the knight, but a +1 disadvantage by taking with the bishop. #emprendemesta ended up destroying me after I blew up my advantage.
    In the third game I'm talking about I was up a pawn in a Queen endgame - this is not a huge advantage, it would've probably ended up in a draw or I might have lost it because it was against @stayoutoftherx who is around 500 ELO points better than me in theory, but in practice he's like 300 or smth cause my Lichess rating lies cause I don't really play there.
    Even on this highly competitive league where I am nowhere close top ten I could've won 6/7 games!
    Anyway, watch the vid, or don't, either way I think it's entertaining as background noise :)

  • I guess this is how a 1700 plays
    https://3speak.tv/watch?v=anomadsoul/jmdjptpv
    I know I said I'm retired from my Road to 1500 ELO in chess.com, but that doesn't mean I'm done playing, it just means I have taken off my shoulders a huge burden. I was putting in too much time and effort into reaching an intermediate level of 1500, which would put me in the top 5% of chess players in the biggest chess website in the world.
    The thing is I was stressing too much and the anxiety of losing ELO points was just too much for me, especially since I am trying to focus most of my time in things that actually put money in my pocket - and unless you are a super grandmaster or a successful youtuber and streamer, Chess will never bring in money for you - and Chess was draining too much from my side.
    But I am still playing for fun and there's not a best place to do that than playing on the **[Hive Chess league](https://peakd.com/hive-157286/@stayoutoftherz/the-hivechess-tournament-is-back-start-of-season-14-this-friday)**.
    So here I am, playing without stress and just for fun and well, you guessed it, just like Hikaru, when I play for fun and not care about the result, it turns out I play like a 1700 on Lichess. In case you don't know anything about Chess, that is a great level, incredible if you take into account that I was a 1000 Lichess player around a year ago.
    I missed the game against @stayoutoftherz because I misclicked and left the tournament for a second, but without counting that game I actually finished 5-4 in a tournament where the average rating is like 1800, so I did quite well.

    Here's the vid of my performance, the first ten minutes I play without sound because I'm stupid, but after the first game I realize I blundered my microphone and now you can listen to my banter and trashtalk. Skip to minute 10 if you don't like to watch soundless videos.
