Super eclectic guest mix from DJ Maiya out of our hometown Richmond, VA, kicking off the 2024 mix series proper! Hope yall enjoy-

Growing up in a Gujarati household with a very musical family, I was exposed to music from around the world constantly. So much of the joy I experience in DJing comes from finding rhythms that represent larger diasporic communities and that translate the universal language of groove right on the dancefloor. In putting this mix together, I was inspired by the duality of wintertime to create a mix that allows you to chill yet travel the world, rest yet dance at the same time. While this mix centers on downtempo house and techno, you’ll also hear R&B, reggae, drum and bass, classical Indian, and Afro-Latin flavors sprinkled throughout it. - DJ MAIYA

“I left it all out there on the decks for this Anomalis Radio mix. I hit record and went in. Many of these tracks I’ve been rinsing regularly at club sets and I sprinkled in some classic House to accompany the Baltimore Club and UK Garage. Thank you Anomalis for the opportunity to release this mix and keep bringing House and underground electronic music to Richmond." -Tommy 2600
