Episode 13 — Missing From The Stands

The World Championship is going broadcast-first — but what happens when you take the audience out of the arena?

In this episode of Another Clash of Clans Podcast, we take a closer look at the decision to hold the 2026 World Championship as a broadcast-first event, and what that could mean for the atmosphere, the competitors and the wider Clash of Clans community.

But rather than just giving you my opinion, I asked several people from around the Clash community for theirs. Congressman Coolrick, ShocK, Smitty and Einstonius all weigh in, with Einstonius offering the perspective of someone who will actually be competing at Worlds.

We talk about the difference between a LAN event and a broadcast production, whether a live audience is more important than simply making noise during the matches, the opportunities fans lose to meet players, creators and other members of the community, and whether a broadcast-first World Championship can create something genuinely better than what came before.

And once we've heard from everyone else, I finally give you my own verdict.

Elsewhere in the episode, Jess joins me for another edition of Clash Court, where another Clash character finds themselves on trial.
