The Miami Dolphins have roughly $13 million in cap space and running back Dalvin Cook remains an option. While we knew that the Dolphins offered Cook a contract, reports indicate that he is holding out for a better offer. Also, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler asked executives, players, scouts, and coaches to help him rank the league's top defensive tackles. Aaron Donald was one and Chris Jones was two, but Christian Wilkins didn't even crack the top 10.

The Miami Dolphins traded a third-round pick and tight end Hunter Long for cornerback Jalen Ramsey, a physical defensive back who won a Super Bowl with the Rams in 2021. Ramsey's versatility allows him to be more than just a cornerback but often had to carry a hefty workload due to a lack of depth in 2022. The Miami Dolphins made the playoffs for the first time since 2016 as Mike McDaniel guided the franchise while Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle powered the unit at wide receiver. Hill finished second in both yards and receptions while Jaylen Waddle led the league in yards per catch -- what made Miami's offense successful? Hill and Waddle accounted for more than 50 percent of the team's targets as the offense often leveraged fullback Alec Ingold. Will history repeat itself as the Dolphins eye a repeat trip to the playoffs?

Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle were targeted on roughly 50 percent of pass attempts in Mike McDaniel's first season calling the shots as head coach. Trent Sherfield and Mike Gesicki combined for over 100 targets and served as Miami's No. 3 wide receiver for most of the season. Despite highlight moments from each playmaker, does finding a solidified No. 3 wide receiver truly impact what the Dolphins do when Waddle and Hill carry such a large workload?

Miami Dolphins general manager Chris Grier provided defensive coordinator Vic Fangio plenty of weapons in Jaelen Phillips, Jevon Holland, Christian Wilkins, and Xavien Howard -- before adding Jalen Ramsey and Bradley Chubb into the mix. Miami's defense offers plenty of promise entering 2023 but that was also true entering last season. Can the group clean up its inconsistencies in Fangio's system?

Miami Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker described the team's defense under Josh Boyer as a group that didn't really care for what opposing offenses were doing. Instead, the team had a volatile, blitz-heavy game plan. This season, under new defensive coordinator Vic Fangio, Baker believes players have the freedom to go out and leverage years of experience battling professional-level defenses. From less action up front to more zone defense at the second level — which players will change the most playing in a new system?
