This interview was such a joy for me. I am a huge fan of Caroline's work and getting to talk to her, screen to screen, was a thrill for me. Caroline's adventures and the stories she shares of other women's adventures are fun, interesting, full of science, and so motivating.
Check out "The Gutsy Girl: Escapades for Your Life of Epic Adventure, and "Tough Broad: From Birdwatching to BASE Jumping, How Outdoor Adventure Improves Our Lives as We Age", both coming out in paperback May 14. Watch for "Why Fly" coming next April. Please listen and leave a comment and share with everyone! Listen to this podcast while taking a walk on the beach or in the forest!

To commemorate the 50th episode of Another Empty Kitchen, I am sharing an interview with Nick Gaylord of Our Dead Dads Podcast. Nick interviewed me for his grief podcast where I share my grief journey thus far. This interview is honest, raw, and hopeful. My purpose here is to help others find their way out of the dark hole of grief and depression and into something positive. Although this episode is longer than my usual, I hope you will take the time to listen and share with anyone you know who might benefit from hearing about this journey. Check out Nick's podcast for more inspiring stories of extraordinary loss followed by incredible resilience. Nick's goal is to change the world, one damaged soul at a time.
Please comment, subscribe, and share this episode. Thanks for sharing this 50th episode with me and for all your support this past year. I love you all. Blue skies...

Episode 49 - Training Days
Many of my friends and family wonder why I have to go to training every 6 months. This is a very abbreviated explanation of what I do at recurrent. Also a reminder and a nudge to follow your dreams. It’s never too late. Blue skies…
While camping in Southern California, Tutti Hacking witnessed, first hand, the force and wrath of the Santa Ana winds. These winds contributed to the fierce wildfires that annihilated several communities in SoCal earlier this year. Upon returning back home to Santa Cruz County, Tutti immediately began investigating and compiling information to fireproof her house, neighborhood, and community. After sharing her findings with me, I asked her to please record a public service announcement of sorts on the podcast. This episode is Tutti's neighborly advice on how to fire harden our homes and our communities. Please listen, take notes, and share this episode with friends, family, and neighbors. A link to Tutti's pamphlet WILDFIRE PREPAREDNESS FOR SANTA CRUZ COUNTY is included below. Please download. Please leave a comment or a message on my website, IG, or FB pages. Stay safe. Thanks for listening. Sending much love to all. Blue skies...

In 2014, a traumatic car accident left Joesephine Lawrence with PTSD. In the following months, a dream of being hypnotized, and a serendipitous message from a friend, led Joesephine on a journey to a healing modality and a newfound passion. In our interview, Joesephine explains what exactly hypnotherapy is all about and the many ways this previously mysterious power is helping people at their wits end to heal and deal with past traumas and addictions. Listen and learn with the raddest hypnotherapist I know, Joesephine. Check her out on Facebook, IG, and her website:

The Chutin’ Stars Women Parachute Team thrilled and entertained audiences all over the Planet for many years in the eighties & nineties.
