It has been another month since the last upload and I have no excuse other than to say that "life happens." Just a quick episode to talk about what's been going on in the ministry. Thanks to those who have reached out asking about another episode. I knew people listened but didn't really think anyone would care if it went away, so it wasn't a priority. Thanks for reaching out. It REALLY means a lot, for real. :D
What do you do when you are facing a change in your life? Recently I have had a slight change in my secular job which hasn't been easy and has caused me to miss uploading an episode for a few weeks. But, God is still good and he is walking with me through this change. I hope this is an encouragement to you to take that first step into the change that you have to make, trusting God to work it out for your benefit and for his glory!
This week I talk about a few books that have influenced my personal life and ministry. Of course the Bible should be our main source for spiritual truth but other books can help us in our understanding of the truths of scripture. These are just a few that have been helpful to me!
The episode about other podcasts - ones that are directly about ministry and ones that are just kinda fun to listen to.ย
Speaking of...if you think this one is fun to listen to, please share!
In this episode I talk about my experiences with racism, how my heart and mind has changed over time, and my feelings on how this aligns with my ministry context. Thanks for listening! Please share!
This week, I am joined by the most beautiful woman in the world who was compassionate enough to marry me! We talk about her role in ministry, how it has changed, and how we view our kids in light of their place in it. It was a blast recording this episode. At about 33 minutes in, the audio is strange due to a heavy rain that we had to drive through. I did my best to negate the noise but it sounds a little tunnel-y. Sorry about that. Hope you enjoy! Please share!
We're all getting tired of being in quarantine. This week I talk about getting burned out and how I'm hoping to address that in the context of my youth ministry going forward. Enjoy and please share!
In this episode I talk about curriculum - what I use, how I use it, and other curriculums that are available. Pre-made curriculum is a great tool for both new and seasoned youth ministers (and sunday school teachers and pastors even). Hope that you enjoy! Thanks for listening and sharing!

Welcome to the first guest episode where we talk about what it has been like ministering during this pandemic. We used Zoom to meet and record our experiences. Collectively, we have over 90 years experience in ministry (with Howie making up 30% of that time ๐). Hope you enjoy! Please like and share!
