We are trying something new as for the first time ever, you see our wonderful faces while we solve the problems of the world.

Here's what we are dishing out this week:

Have you heard the news? The Toronto Maple Leafs have been eliminated from the NHL playoffs which means its safe to listen to sports radio in this province again.  Some jokes and laughs are had at the expense of the worst Original Six franchise.  We also touch on the ugly Mark Scheifele hit and how it highlights why we don't really watch the NHL anymore.

- No hitter mania running wild through Major League Baseball. Do they still matter? Are they still special? Do pitchers have a tilted advantage in their favour in today's day and age?

- Tony "I'm a Hall of Famer, buddy" LaRussa is back in the headlines for being a twat. No, not another case of suspicion of driving under the influence (he saves those for the offseason), this time ol' Tony is throwing his dynamic young players under the proverbial bus. Fuck Tony LaRussa.

-Oakland A's saga continues: Will they stay or will they go? It's getting towards the endgame for the Athletics franchise in the Bay area. We discuss potential landing spots for the franchise as well as the murmurs of potential MLB expansion.

Teams that Waste Talent:

- Dan Marino, Ken Griffey Jr., Barry Sanders, Roy Halladay are amongst the players discussed who just never really got a chance to win because of the terrible teams they found themselves on in the prime of their careers. The Seattle Mariners are mentioned often. They are the only team in the four major North American sports leagues to have not played a playoff game since 2001. Come on, Mariners.

We're back after a few weeks away with Steve having fully recovered from his wonky back and his vaccine. On that note, we talk about vaccines; Steve's experience getting his first shot and Mark's frustration still trying to get an appointment.  Crazy times here in Ontario.

We've missed three weeks of baseball, so we get into T3WIB with a focus on the insane amount of injuries and the egregiously awful umpires so far in the 2021 season. The craziness of the times we are in is certainly extending to Major League Baseball.

In a hot recurring segment, Steve reviews another popcorn classic.  Remember Encino Man? Pauly Shore? Brendan Fraser? Yes you do. Does it hold up? Gotta listen to find out, friend! Same goes with the Harry Potter guy in a movie about the Amazon that Mark watched this week. Eat your hearts out, Siskel & Ebert.

Obligatory Baseball is back because so is baseball so it just makes sense. There have already been two no-hitters! Incroyable, Zut Alors! But what about all the terrible injuries? Are baseball players getting too buff to stay healthy? So many questions and so many answers from two guys who could probably have the best baseball podcast in the world if they wanted to.

We wrap up with Mark losing his mind trying to figure out where the line is with Covid-19 and pro sports with the Vancouver Canucks restarting their season after an awful outbreak ravaged most of their team just two weeks ago. Just seems like yet another priority out of whack.

It's not ALL baseball, don't worry!

This week we are joined by Steve's brother Brad and they get things rolling with a review of the Netflix doc The Last Blockbuster and the nostalgia floodgates are opened wide.

April 1st is Opening Day in Major League Baseball and good lord, HOOK IT TO OUR VEINS. The guys provide their picks for division winners, award winners and some other storylines heading into the 2021 season.  Steve is bullish on his favourite team, Mark not so much on the Blue Jays.  All predictions have been recorded for posterity and future owns and disses.

Hockey talk! Brad doesn't think Connor McDavid is that good and Steve and Mark try their best not to lol at this silly notion. Somewhere in here Mark complains about Dodge Rams and their drivers for the 13th straight episode.

It felt bad even typing that guy's name out.

We're  back with yet another soon-to-be awarding winning episode of APTP!  Let's see what we're running down this week:

Jerks in Sports: A discovery in an old Sports Illustrated sparks a conversation about the biggest assholes in sports and Mark and Steve have an all out bloodbath brawl over Juan Soto. Well, maybe it wasn't that bad.  Spoiler alert: we certainly agreed on Rafael Palmeiro, though.

Obligatory Baseball: There are a handful of rule changes coming to various levels of minor league baseball. Are any of them going to be transferable to the Major Leagues? It was a hypothetical question, you will just have to listen. And like. And subscribe.  Hey, guess what? The Texas Rangers are still stupid and are planning on having 100% capacity for their home opener vs the Blue Jays next month.  Spoiler alert 2.0: We don't think that is a good idea!

SuperVillain: Steve is in the midst of watching the Showtime documentary on Instagram Personality(?)/Rapper (LOL)/Influencer(barf)/convicted criminal/sociopath Tekashi 6ix9ine (ugh, again). It's a compelling story about a terrible person and maybe the perfect microcosm for society and what we prioritize and value in 2021.
